HOW THE RTANJ SOUL WAS CREATED
In the 1970s, in our great-grandfather's orchard, red ranka was grown, ripened, and harvested. At that time, it was only for personal use, seemingly just plums, but today it is a rare Serbian autochthonous variety called red ranka, enjoying all the attention of the Đorđević family. Alongside red ranka, attention was also given to čačanska lepotica and čačanska rodna when we laid the deep foundations for the future in 1996 by expanding our capacities. We enriched our orchards with these marvelous fruits - quince, pear, and apricot. Knowledge was acquired, experience was passed down, and tradition was nurtured, all of which transformed into the Rtanj soul.
PRODUCTION PROCESS
With carefully selected high-quality fruits from our own plantations, supported by state-of-the-art technology and a long tradition backed by the mastery of the technological process itself, we create "Rtanj soul". The production process involves double distillation.
THE FOUNDATION FOR THE END PRODUCT
Rtanj Soul ages and matures in barrels made from three types of oak trees that grow in Eastern Serbia at the foot of Mount Rtanj. Absorbing the energy of this peculiar mountain, the oak from which our coopers traditionally make the foundation for aging our distillates absorbs the most beautiful tones of acacia flowers, wildflowers, and honeydew over the years.
